Synchrondatenbank.de
is a joint development of Arne Kaul, Gereon Stein and Mats-Peter Schmitz. Translations
for the English language version "German Dubbing Data Base" were largely
done by Katrin Stein.
Arne Kaul has
gathered experience in movie dubbing over more than 30 years. His research and
parts of his extensive data collection are now for the first time open to the
general public.
Gereon Stein
has been working in database development since 1990. Based on a long-term friendship
with Arne, the idea of creating this web site and putting the database on line
came to mind.
Mats-Peter
Schmitz joined the team through the UNIX Communities sonnenblen.de
and mood-indigo.org (sites
also created and developed by Gereon) and built the new graphics and navigation
for this site.
Katrin Stein
is studying foreign languages (English and Spanish) at the University of Heidelberg,
Germany, and is Gereon's youngest sister. Thanks to her perfect translation
work, our visitors will be spared a lot of babelfish babble.
As a side note,
translation errors may be blamed on me (Gereon), as I couldn't possibly check
everything back with Katrin.
